Welcome to the Astrobiology Science Conference!
The Astrobiology Science Conference (AbSciCon) 2006 will be held March 26-30, 2006 in Washington, D.C.,
at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center
(www.itcdc.com). All are invited to join the
astrobiology community at this exceptional facility that lies in the heart of Washington, just
off the Mall, blocks from the White House, and with easy access to all areas of the city via the Metro.
The main lecture series will take place in Ronald Reagan Building Amphitheater.
Parallel sessions will be held in near-by conference rooms. Posters will be displayed
in the Atrium. Evening events will be held at the Smithsonian's National Museum of
Natural History and in the Reagan Building's suites.
Green Bank Telescope Tour
Extend your visit to the AbSciCon2006 conference for this exciting event. On Friday, March 30 there will be an excursion to the Green Bank Telescope at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in West Virginia. With a surface area of 100 by 110 meters, this telescope is the world’s largest and is used by astrobiologists around the world.
