Ricardo Amils

Ricardo Amils is Professor of Microbiology in the
Department of Molecular Biology at the Autonomous
University of Madrid (UAM). He also is
associated with the Spanish Centro de
Astrobiologia, an international partner of the
NASA Astrobiology Institute (NAI). His
scientific interests include evolution and
reconstruction of ribosomes, biomining, bioremediation, microbial ecology
of extreme environments
and astrobiology.
