Pascale Ehenfreund

Pascale Ehenfreund is Professor at Leiden University in the
Netherlands and Distinguished Visiting Scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Pascale Ehrenfreund leads the Astrobiology Laboratory at Leiden
Institute of Chemistry and investigates organic matter in the interstellar
medium, stellar atmospheres and in solar system bodies, including planetary
surfaces, comets and meteorites. She is involved in on-going space
research/projects such as Rosetta, the International Space Station,
SMART-1, Mars-Express and the European EXOMARS mission scheduled
for 2011.
She has served on many committees including the U.S. National
Academies
of Science, Space Studies Board Committee on the Origins and
Evolution of
Life (COEL).
