Aki Roberge is a NPP Research Associate at the Goddard Space Flight Center. She completed her Ph.D. in astrophysics at Johns Hopkins University where she studied UV spectroscopy of circumstellar disks around young stars. She works with various space-based UV and infrared telescopes to determine the abundances of gaseous species in protoplanetary disks and their relationship to disk evolution and planet formation. Her recent professional service includes membership on the Multimission Archive at Space Telescope (MAST) Users Group Advisory Committee and membership on the science team for a proposed future UV/optical space telescope (HORUS).
